On-Demand Jobs

While recurring contracts form the backbone of field service operations, commercial contractors frequently handle one-off, emergency, or ad-hoc requests—such as fallen tree removal, emergency irrigation repair, storm cleanup, or specialty mulch installations.

What is an On-Demand Job?

An On-Demand Job is a single-occurrence work order designed for rapid dispatch without setting up complex recurring schedule rules.

Creating an On-Demand Request

  1. Navigate to Operations → On-Demand List.
  2. Click + New On-Demand Job.
  3. Select the customer and property address.
  4. Set the Priority:
    • Emergency (Immediate safety hazard or property impediment).
    • High (Same-day or next-day turnaround).
    • Standard (Within standard service window).
  5. Specify scope details, target completion date, and estimated labor hours.
  6. Assign an available crew or leave in the dispatch queue.

Dispatching from the On-Demand Queue

  • Dispatchers can review the unassigned On-Demand queue alongside today's active route map.
  • Assign the job to the closest operating crew based on live GPS location and schedule capacity.
  • The assigned crew immediately receives an update on their mobile route list.
